Dr. Cohen is a graduate of State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. He finished his neurology residency at West Los Angeles VA Medical Center/UCLA. He was invited to join the Neurology faculty at UCLA going on to become a full professor. He joined the staff at the West Los Angeles VA, becoming assistant Chief of Neurology and co-director of the residency program and director of the first stroke program in Los Angeles. He was recruited by Cedars-Sinai to become the Clinical Director of the Stroke Program. He is currently the Director of the Stroke Prevention Program at Sunrise Hospital in La Vegas, Nevada and a Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
